Pittsburgh Manor Company Will Divide Acreage Into High Class Residence Sites.
MAY GOOD BUILDING MONTH
New Work Starting Shows Big Totals in Several Districts.

The Real Estate Trust Company sold for the Guarantee Title & Trust Company, trustee, to the Pittsburgh Manor Company the former Chambers property of about eight acres, extending from Fifth avenue to Forbes street, near Morewood avenue, for $160,000. A part of the property, 200@240 [sic] feet, improved with 16-room brick dwelling, formerly occupied by the Chambers family, will be occupied by George W. Reynolds after improvements have been made.

The Pittsburgh Manor Company is laying out the property as a high-class residential section, to be known as "Highfield in Shadyside." A street is to be opened from Forbes, extending through the property to within 240 feet of Fifth avenue, and this thoroughfare will be known as Highfield road. Broad granolithic steps will lead up from Fifth avenue to meet Highfield road.

Sewers, gas, water and conduits to keep the electric and telephone wires underground are being put in and granolithic sidewalks will be constructed. Six ornamental cluster arc lights will illuminate the road. The property will be divided into 22 lots, each having frontages varying from 60 to 75 feet, with depths varying from 105 to 205 feet.
