1900-02-15: Pittsburg Press, p. 10 (Newspapers.com 141353961): "STOLE SOAP FROM A FACTORY. ¶ Five Employes of W. H. Walker Arrested on This Charge. ¶ Five employes of W. & H. Walker, soap manufacturs [sic], were arrested yesterday on the charge of larcency [sic] of fine toilet soaps from the Herr's Island factory. They are M. Rothfuss, of 32 Raymond street; Leo Ceskey, 10 Elbow street; Robert Rausch, 51 Ley street; George Twaddles, 1523 East street, and Louis Garver, Zang's alley, all of Allegheny. ¶ The company have been losing stock for some time and the theives [sic] had become so bold and worked so hard that the loss ran up into hundreds of dollars. At last a detective was employed and yesterday when the men left the place they were searched. In the dinner buckets of the five men were found cakes of fine soap. They were held in $300 bail for a hearing."
