1944-02-11: Source:Love-christening: "Residents of Berlin Way and Tokyo St. recently raised understandable objections to the names of their streets, which were changed to Moran Way and Tokay St. ¶ 'Arithmetic' Used ¶ As in the latter change, the names of some streets can be altered just enough to make them new names, yet still have a familiar sound."
1947-09-29: Source:Swetnam: "The recent war [World War II] has left at least three names on Pittsburgh streets. ¶ . . . ¶ Tokyo St., on the North Side, was changed to Tokay, a name it still bears. But an effort to rename Berlin Way, in the Strip, as Moran Way, seems to have failed. The maps still call it Berlin."
