Source:Fleming-physicians: "Dr. Stevenson resided here until 1825 when he returned East and lived a life of leisure well earned. He died in Wilmington, Del., in 1829. He left two sons, both physicians, Dr. Henry Stevenson of the United States Army and Dr. T. S. Stevenson of Carlisle. The family name is commemorated in Stevenson street."
