1885-04-27: Common Council (Source:Municipal-record-1885-1886-common, p. 12): "Mr. Culbertson presented ¶ No. 122. Petition for the erection of a public lamp corner of Rosencranz and Gardner alley. ¶ Referred to Committee on Gas Lighting."
1885-06-29: Select Council (Source:Municipal-record-1885-1886-select, pp. 50–51): "Mr. Lafferty presented ¶ No. 272. Resolved, That the Committee on Gas Lighting be and is hereby authorized [p. 51] and directed to erect public lamps at the following points: ¶ . . . ¶ 1 lamp, corner Rosencrans and Gardner alleys. ¶ . . . ¶ Which was read, and the rule having been suspended, was read a second and third times and finally passed."
1889-05-27: Common Council (Source:Municipal-record-1889-1890-common, p. 25): "Mr. Culbertson presented ¶ . . . ¶ Also, ¶ No. 301. An Ordinance authorizing the construction of a sewer on Rosencranz alley and Hughes alley, from Geneva street to a connection with a sewer on Forty-second street. ¶ Which were severally referred to the Committee on Public Works."
1889-07-19: Common Council (Source:Municipal-record-1889-1890-common, p. 72): "Also, from Committee on Public Works with negative recommendation, ¶ C. C. Bill No. 301. An Ordinance entitled, 'An Ordinance authorizing the construction of a sewer on Rosencranz alley and Hughes alley, from Geneva street to a connection with a sewer on Forty-second street.'"
