- 1852-05-11, Allegheny Common Council: "An Ordinance authorizing the location of Bank street in the first ward, was read. On motion of Mr. Ray, seconded by Mr. Wickersham, it was adopted. ¶ . . . ¶ On motion, it was ¶ Resolved, That the City Regulator be and is hereby instructed to make out and report at the next meeting, such an alteration of the present grade of Bank street, between Ridge street and Bank Lane, as will allow of easy access between said streets."
