There is a genre of writing about Pittsburgh street names that does not attempt to provide historical information about their origins but merely lists interesting or unusual ones, perhaps compiled by browsing a city street directory.
Bob Regan's book The Names of Pittsburgh does give the origins of many street names, but it is categorized here because it also includes several lists that merely group street names together (such as "Astronomy-Related Street Names" on page 68) and a crossword puzzle on pages 183–186 constructed from street names treated only as words, without information on their origins.
