Zif Yoip

Welcome to Zif Yoip. The name doesn't mean anything. My name is Brian Kell, which doesn't particularly mean anything, either.

What's here

Here at Zif Yoip, you can:

• Win fifteen dollars or a Rubik's Cube. You should at least read the question and get a dime.
• Learn to classify art.
• Watch a guy talk about some one-of-a-kind sound recording device on TechTV.
• Generate some sentences. You can adjust the grammatical rules and vocabulary as much as you like.
• Try your hand at some of my fascinating hand-crafted wordplay. This page will grow and contain more cool stuff when I have some time to invest toward making a better-looking crossword interface.
• Play Biv. If you like Lights Out, you'll either love or hate Biv.
• Learn facts about Nebraska counties.
• Solve all your technological problems with the computer troubleshooter. Whoever said there's no silver bullet has obviously never tried this out.
• Study Chinese.
• Read things, including a well-researched paper about shortages and solutions in the motherglass market. Apparently this is such a well-researched paper that occasionally it's the very first result returned for a Google search on "motherglass", but Google appears to wax and wane, and a couple days later it'll be way down the list. I don't know why. Those pigeons are fickle.
• Download an excellent ASCII table. I made it myself, with Microsoft Publisher. The glyphs in the 128–255 range are those from IBM code page 437, used in MS-DOS, for example; they aren't the same characters as those in Windows or Unicode.
• And much* more!

I think I also have a tutorial of some type available. I don't really remember a lot about it, though.

* Note that "much" is not well-defined. Here it means roughly "a small amount," though it might be better translated as "nothing."
