Juliet Street

Neighborhood: South Oakland

Named for Juliet, the female protagonist in Shakespeare’s tragedy Romeo and Juliet (see also Romeo Street). Other streets in South Oakland named after Shakespearean characters include Cato Street, Hamlet Street, and Ophelia Street.[1, 2]
