Childs Street

Neighborhood: South Oakland

Named for James H. Childs, colonel of the 4th Pennsylvania Cavalry in the American Civil War, killed at the Battle of Antietam on September 17, 1862. George H. Covode, eponym of Covode Street, was a later colonel of the same regiment.[1]
